What's it all about?

A few months ago I decided to document my journey into the endgame study business. The FIDE World cup was my first tourney. I wrote an introductory blog post about how the tourney is organized and another post when the preliminary results were published. The winning study was so special that it deserved its own post. The title "A find or a composition?" already indicated that something might be wrong. This has now been completely confirmed and another post showed that things are even much worse. The term 2-click study has now become common for studies generated in this way. For a while, I posted such studies on the blog when I found them. As a result, this website and especially my blog have developed in a completely unintended direction. That's why I recently copied all of this material from the blog into a multi-part article beginnning here and leaving only a few posts of potentially long-term interest on the blog.
